Initially, I was prepared to give Boris & his bunch the benefit of the doubt. Now – 2 or 3 weeks later – I’ve had enough. Enough of the lies, the false promises, the hollow mockery of empty words.
Hundreds of people are dying every bloody day, and – even then – we are not being given the true numbers. We are being fed half-truths, excuses and meaningless platitudes.
Quite frankly it is a farce. The government – and others in authority, including so-called experts – are spouting anything that they think/hope will placate the public. If it wasn’t so deadly serious it would be laughable.
Meanwhile, a 99 year old is doing something amazing. Nurses, doctors, carers, porters, paramedics, ambulance staff, cleaners etc are being offered up on the alter of politics & denial, sacrificed by those who should know better. Those who are still trying to pull the wool over our eyes, in case we should see the reality of their ineptitude & stupidity.
It makes me sick (no pun intended). Where is the honesty in all of this? It is in the people who are out there fighting. It is not in the scheming & failing words & actions of those in authority.
